Those who want to buy Dianabol, be they first-time users or long-in-the-tooth professionals, must be aware of the potency that this tremendous bulking oral steroid possesses – it is a serious anabolic with many powerful effects. Before we delve into these effects, let us begin with a little history lesson.
Dianabol: A History & Chemistry Lesson
Before you buy Dianabol, do you know why and when it was first created? Of course, there is no ‘test’ before you make a purchase but it is interesting to learn the history of the compound before you embark on your cycle. It was originally created in the 1960’s by an American pharmaceutical company known as CIBA. Why? For one reason. At the time Russian athletes were dominating the Olympic Games and all other sporting events, and it was widely speculated (and eventually uncovered further down the line) that they were taking some form of testosterone to boost their performance to enable them to be superior to all other teams; CIBA therefore decided that they would develop an anabolic steroid that was more powerful than testosterone, that athletes in the USA team could take to match the Russians or even surpass them.
How did they create Dianabol? As you would expect they started off with a testosterone base and after months of making alterations to its chemical formula they eventually decided that two simple changes would create an extremely potent anabolic. Firstly, knowing that testosterone aromatised into estrogen very easily, they added a double-carbon bond, which reduced the rate at which is would convert to estrogen. Secondly, they methylated it, meaning it was able to pass through the body (the liver particularly) without being broken down and rendered inert. Although the former did decrease Dianabol’s aromatisation rate, it did result in the conversion to a more potent (than standard estrogen) form of estrogen known as methyl-estrodial, which we will discuss later on in the piece (this is something that you must be aware of before you buy dianabol). But, it was an extremely effective anabolic, both in terms of muscle mass and strength games and it allowed to happen what its creators first intended it to – the USA to defeat Russia.
If we look more closely at its structure and particularly at its anabolic:androgenic ratings then we can see something interesting – compared to testosterone (which is the standard by which all other anabolics are judged by with a ratio of 100:100), we can see that Dianabol has an anabolic rating of 90-210 and an androgenic rating of 40-60, meaning that on paper it should be (if we take an average) be more potent of a muscle builder and less androgenic. Despite the fact that the actual science behind the ratios for anabolics is flawed and not the best gauge of potency, it is the best we have so it is wise to take note of this. Dianabol: Effects, Gains & Results
If I had to use two words to describe Dianabol then I would use the follow: ‘wet’ and ‘bulking’. Why? Well, it’s not too hard to figure out but basically it is a terrific bulking anabolic steroid (and I mean one of the very best out of orals and injectables alike), but the gains you make on it will be very wet, i.e. there will an awful lot of intracellular water retention (which is caused by two factors, both of which will detailed later on). Please be aware of this if you intend to buy dianabol as it is something that can be worse for some than others, but luckily can be addressed promptly and effectively (again, this will be discussed further down – we will tell you exactly what to do to avoid gaining a lot of water).
I guess the most asked question from those intending to buy dianabol is, ‘what gains can I make from a dianabol cycle?’. Well, first of all this is a very subjective question and it is very difficult, if not impossible to give a definite answer, but thanks to science and the anecdotal evidence of many, many people who have used ‘Dbol’, we can give at least an estimation as to what can be expected. The answer will also change depending on the cycle – will it be taken alone as a standalone or will it be taken with other compounds? For now I will deal with a Dianabol only cycle as I would presume most people reading this page would be looking to use it this way, although I will touch upon its use in a cycle with other steroids further on in this article. I will of course assume that your diet, training and rest are as optimal as they can be, as without these being dialled in then you can say goodbye to gains during the cycle and keeping them afterwards.
Let us begin with the science. Although there a few medical studies and studies published in journals regarding dianabol use, I shall only refer to one so as to avoid this becoming too longwinded (if you wish to search for all the studies done on ‘Dbol’ then simply go to ‘Pubmed’ and search for Methandrostenolone or methandienone). This study was carried out in the 1980’s for a period of six weeks and subjects, on average, gained lean body mass of 3.5kg (about 8-9lbs). This is impressive, but what was also noticed was extremely high intracellular sodium and potassium levels, which explains the significant water retention experienced by users. Bare in mind that is lean body weight, i.e. pure, lean muscle mass – which is extremely impressive in such a short amount of time; of course the total body weight gained would have been much higher, probably double that, and those who want to purchase dianabol can expect the same.
My own experience of Dianabol gains is fairly similar to the above – a significant increase in body mass (around 20lbs) and around 7-8lbs of muscle built and kept after my post cycle therapy had been completed (for my Advanced PCT click here). My cycle was a straightforward 35mg a day for five weeks, although in reality you could take anything from 20mg up to 60mg per day for four to six weeks if you so desired – all in all results will be similar so long as your diet, training and rest are spot on. As I have stated above, individual results will vary, but from speaking to hundreds of people both in person and online, Dianabol only cycles do tend to yield around 15-20lbs of mass gained, with around a quarter to a third of it being lean muscle mass. These results prompt one question: why is Dianabol so good for bulking?
Dianabol: How does it increase Mass & Strength? (and how to keep gains)
The first things that will surprise those who either use or are looking to use Dianabol is that, like Anadrol, it does not bind particularly well to the Androgen Receptor (AR). This means that it must have effects via different pathways to induce such rapid and vast ‘gains’. From the aforementioned study carried out in the 1980’s, Dianabol was found to increase Growth Hormone levels by 40% – this is a significant amount and coupled with the subsequent increase in IGF-1 levels will result in the rapid accrual of lean body mass. In addition, Dianabol will increase nitrogen retention and therefore protein synthesis within muscle, thus allowing them to be re-built quicker and stronger; it will increase red blood flow count meaning better nutrient flow to your muscles and more oxygen will reach your muscles, meaning your strength and endurance will increase to an extent, facilitating further muscle gains.
One thing we haven’t discussed yet (as we’ve mainly covered mass gains) is something that many of those who want to buy Dianabol will be interested in – strength gains. Will strength increase? Yes, undoubtedly, but, it is is extremely hard to say by how much as it is even more subjective and individual than mass gains off ‘Dbol’. Every person is built differently and will affected differently, but it is safe to say that you will experience power and strength gains. Talking personally, I added around 10% onto the what I class as the major four lifts: bench press, squat, deadlift and military press. 10% may not sound a lot, but if you bench 100kg, you could be benching 110kg in as little as three or four weeks! I probably added a little more than 10% but it is best to be conservative when discussing things that are so subjective. Saying that however, it has been known for people to add 20-25% onto their big lifts, showing just how powerful a strength booster Dianabol can be (in addition to hard work of course!).
All these gains, both in terms of mass, muscle and strength will sound enticing to potential Dianabol users, but before you buy Dianabol you must know how to keep your gains once your cycle has finished as without this knowledge you will have wasted your hard earned money. Firstly, Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) is an absolute must; I know some old schoolers will say that they don’t do a PCT or that you shouldn’t, but trust me, to keep your gains and your health you need to do one. Secondly, keep your calories high – now is not the time to ‘cut’ or try and lose body fat, it is time to consolidate your gains. It always amazes me how people do a bulking cycle then cut during PCT – how stupid can you get?! Calories and protein must remain high, higher possibly than on cycle and even if you add a little bit of fat, who cares, you’ll kept your hard earned muscle. Thirdly, reduce you training intensity slightly – you can’t train with the same intensity on Dianabol as you can off Dianabol, so reduce it by around 10%. You can even change training types – I know some who go to high volume during post cycle after taking Dianabol as it works for them, but trial and error is the key here and finding out what works for you and what doesn’t. Fourthly, rest! Rest is key both on and off cycle, but now you’re not ‘enhanced’ you will need that extra little bit of rest to recover properly. Try and get a nap in during the day or an extra hours sleep at night.
Keeping the Dianabol bloat down both on and off cycle can be tough, but by ensuring that you drink a lot of water (25% more than you usually would), lower your salt/sodium intake (e.g. don’t add extra salt to your food), eat plenty of fresh or frozen vegetables (spinach, kale and broccoli are excellent for this purpose) and if you have an extra bit of cash then buying dandelion root can help to flush out excess water also. Reducing carbs and replacing them with protein can help if you are really struggling on Dianabol. Arimidex is always a last resort (it reduces estrogen levels, thus reducing water retention as high estrogen levels can cause fluid retention).
Dianabol: Side Effects & Stacking
Now for the bit you probably all don’t want to read…but all you considering whether to buy dianabol or not must read it. Seriously. Never take anything without being fully aware of the side effects of dianabol both positive and negative, then you can be adequately prepared for them. The ‘evil’ form of estrogen mentioned above, methyl-estradiol, can be hard to control as it is very potent, however having nolvadex on hand for any gyno issues is always advised. The combination of methyl-estradiol and estrogen (albeit at a lower conversion rate than testosterone) can cause problems, so make sure you are prepared. Dianabol will also raise blood pressure and heart rate, so buy yourself a BP monitor and take it every other day to keep an eye on it. As mentioned above Dianabol will also increase red blood cell count, which although has positive effects can also have negative effects too, i.e. hematocrit levels being too high meaning your blood is more viscous so your heart has to work harder to pump around the body. HDL levels will more likely than not be reduced and LDL levels increased, but this will usually rectify itself post cycle (your body will do it naturally, but PCT meds such as Nolvadex can help to increase HDL levels). Hair growth on the body, hair loss (on the head) to those predisposed to male patter baldness and also acne are also common with Dianabol, so be prepared for these before you buy.
Although I only focussed on a ‘Dbol’ only cycle above, some who want to buy dianabol will be looking to use it in conjunction with other anabolic steroids. The most common use is at the start of a longer injectable cycle, with some form of long acting testosterone ester (Cypionate or Enanthate for example). Total cycle length would be 10-14 weeks, with injections once or twice weekly at doses starting at 250mg (per week) and anywhere between 20mg – 60mg of ‘Dbol’ for the first four weeks. Why? Even though long testosterone esters will enter the bloodstream (and peak) within the first 24 to 48 hours, it takes around four weeks for levels to build up so that they are at supra-physiological at all times, rather than there being peaks and troughs, so by using an oral at the start (Anadrol could also be used) then you can utilise this until the test fully kicks in.
This isn’t the only way to use Dianabol as part of a stack though as it could most certainly be used as part of a six week cycle in conjunction with testosterone propionate (fast acting ester), at doses of 20mg-40mg per day and 250-500mg per week respectively. One thing I must add is that don’t rule out combining orals – many will advise against this, but a Dianabol and Anadrol cycle can be very effective over four to six weeks so long as you reduce the dosages of both.
